David Usher is a Brisbane born Toowoomba based artist. Usher works with ceramics, paint and within social art. He responds to physical, ideological and social landscapes, often making series of works that reflect a specific place in which Usher has spent time, capturing the colours and imagery of that site. Usher also constructs social interactions / interventions that entice one to participate or become part of a project. His artworks or outcomes are therefore reflective outcomes of his interest in environments. Usher has shown with several galleries including Doggart and has work in collections including Queensland Art Gallery, Artbank, Brisbane City Hall Gallery and Queensland Potters Association.
