Ali Lawson, as owner of the Alexandra Lawson Gallery assists clients to purchase and display modern and contemporary art.
Ali has extensive knowledge of regional and national contemporary art and has a stable of artists represented by the gallery, covering both established artists with international reputations and emerging artists with energetic profiles. Ali graduated from the University of Southern Queensland with an honours degree in Fine Arts, which was followed by a PhD at the University of Southern Queensland, under the supervision of Dr Kyle Jenkins. Since completing her PhD she has founded the Alexandra Lawson Gallery and Raygun Project gallery (with Tarn McLean), bringing visiting international artists to Toowoomba. She has worked with the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery (TRAG) on a Regional Arts Development project to bring noted artists and practitioners to regional area. Ali has worked on exhibitions, introduced new technologies and programs, hosted visiting artists and managed operational and procedural logistics.
